O’Neal and Martha Kelley Obituary, Death: Elderly Couple Killed in Cullman County Crash

The Arab, Alabama community is mourning the tragic deaths of O’Neal Kelley, 84, and Martha Kelley, 79, who lost their lives in a devastating two-vehicle crash in Cullman County on April 12, 2026.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the fatal collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. along Alabama 91 near Cullman County Road 649, approximately six miles east of Holly Pond. The couple was traveling in a 2017 Nissan Rogue when their vehicle was struck by a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Aaron C. Mitchell, 33, of Hanceville.

Officials confirmed that O’Neal Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene. Martha Kelley sustained critical injuries and was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center, where she later passed away.

The crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division. Authorities have not released additional details regarding contributing factors at this time.
